House of Irthi
Led by the wonderful Sharjah Business Women’s Council (SBWC) this project was intended to provide a retail presentation space and working office/studio for a new arts and crafts organization called House of Irthi. The mandate of House of Irthi is to promote and market local and regional craftsman and artists to the wider GCC ands MENA region. The site is located on the Al Fisht waterfront in Sharjah was excellent oceans views and visibility to the public. The concept was based on an open courtyard with an adjacent cafe, the courtyard is linked to the main building which is planned around a massive central atrium ramp which also served as display gallery and a fashion catwalk. The ground and first floor are primary product display areas and the second floor is a working art studio with offices.
